CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

QUARTER FINALS

Arsenal vs Real Madrid

Arsenal’s Premier League hopes may be fading, but their Champions League dream is alive as they host Real Madrid in a blockbuster quarter-final. Despite a poor record at this stage, the Gunners are unbeaten at home in Europe since their return (W8, D2) and have looked sharp against Spanish opposition. Real, meanwhile, are UCL royalty — unbeaten in the first leg of their last eight knockout ties and winners in all three of their recent European away days. But with their last three eliminations coming against English sides, Madrid’s dominance faces a real test at the Emirates.
We feel Arsenal’s immaturity and poor luck with injuries will be the undoing of them and they are not quite ready to take the next step. Check our Arsenal vs Real Madrid markets here.

Prediction: Madrid 1x2 @ 3.20

Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan

The Champions League quarter-finals heat up as Bayern Munich host Inter Milan in a clash of former winners. Bayern are flying high domestically and boast a 22-game unbeaten home run in the UCL, though they’ve stumbled at this stage in recent years. Inter, chasing a historic treble, have a shaky record in Germany but will aim to keep things tight before the return leg. With both sides in strong form, this could be a tense and tactical first leg. Barcelona vs Dortmund

Barcelona continue their push for a historic quadruple as they face Borussia Dortmund in the UCL quarter-finals, unbeaten in 22 matches and sitting four points clear in La Liga. With Hansi Flick boasting a perfect managerial record against Dortmund and Barça having already beaten them in the group stage, the Catalans enter as firm favourites. Dortmund’s poor track record in Spain and struggles in the Bundesliga add to the challenge, but their solid UCL away form this season suggests they could make it competitive. Prediction: Barcelona & BTTS @ 2.40

PSG vs Aston Villa

PSG enter this UCL quarter-final flying high after clinching the Ligue 1 title with six games to spare and winning 25 of their last 27 matches. Their recent record in UCL quarter-finals is strong too, with three straight wins, and they'll be confident hosting Aston Villa, despite a rare recent loss to English opposition. Villa, however, are in red-hot form themselves, on a seven-game winning streak and surging in the Premier League. Unai Emery returns to his former club aiming to pull off a huge upset, though Villa's poor history on French soil (D2, L3) poses a major hurdle. Check our PSG vs Aston Villa markets here.
