PGA Tour Black Desert Championship Preview
Black Desert Championship - Patton Kizzire @ 60.0
The PGA Tour comes to Utah as the Fall Series continues. As the event name suggests, it will be played at the brand-new Black Desert Golf Course, which opened last year.
The par 71, 7,371-yard course is a long desert track boasting generous fairways and greens. The ball will fly further as it sits at a high altitude, and the course will play a little shorter than its yardage suggests. Water comes into play on two holes, but all in all, players should be able to shoot low scores throughout the week.
In an open field where there are many who have a chance, my tip for this event is Patton Kizzire.
A PGA Tour winner last month, he followed that up with a highly respectable tied 11th finish last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship, which included two bogey-free rounds. I feel he is finding form at the right time, and I expect him to be in the mix on Sunday.
